VoIP Call

VoIP Call enables IP-Phone users to make and receive telephone calls to and from the telephone network (PSTN) irrespective of their geographical location and protocol used. Aglow Supports H.323, SIP and IAX2 protocols and all the major codecs, including g.723.1, g.729, iLBC, Speex and GSM.

VoIP Call not only offers call charge free IP to IP communication but also the ability to make and receive telephone calls. Because the service is IP based, anyone worldwide with an Internet broadband connection can benefit by using VoIP Call. Perfect for all wishing to reduce the costs associated with traditional telephony, VoIP Call provides an access point in Singapore. This service is aimed at private individuals as well as companies, regardless of their geographical location.

Important - To use any of the VoIP Call services, you will require the following equipment:

• A broadband Internet connection. The bandwidth you have available will directly affect the quality and number of concurrent calls you can make.
  
  
• A VoIP-enabled firewall. VoIP Call will work perfectly if you have no firewall however this is usually not an option! If you have a regular firewall that uses Network Address Translation (NAT), the SIP/IAX2 protocol can still work as our server will then make sure it knows which port to send the call to. It is possible to open specific ports on a non VoIP enabled firewall but this takes technical knowledge of the user. The port used for the SIP messages is defined (5060) but the media port numbers are not known in advance and may differ from call to call. Please note that we can assist in configuring your firewalls for a nominal fee, provided you do have the technical documentation and access-codes available.
  
  
• A 'software' or 'hardware' VoIP phone.
  
  
• A computer. If you are planning on using a 'software' client IP phone, your computer will require a sound card. The computer must have sufficient speed and resources available to manage the software client application. Most recently manufactured computers are more than capable of achieving this.

International Residents -

This service enables Users to make and receive telephone calls as if they are in Singapore, with no international call charges! This facility is perfect for International residents with Singapore business or family connections.

International Companies -

With VoIP Call, your company could benefit from a Singapore virtual office. Transparent to the caller, the telephone call is routed via the Internet at no charge to wherever the company is located. Of course the reverse is also true, your company would be able to make telephone calls nationally and internationally but originating from within Singapore.

The communication is not limited to voice but also integrates functions such as instant messaging, video, application sharing and file transfer. The service offers a more efficient and advanced way of communication than traditional telephony. Further more, IP to IP communication between two people using either a computer or an IP telephone is always free of call charges regardless of their location.

Pricing

Monthly "membership" fee is S$7.95* - This will give you a VoIP account with a virtual telephone number (valid within Aglow's network), the membership fee will be offset against any usage for PSTN and IDD calls from your VoIP phone

For S$12.95* you will have a Singapore fixed line telephone number, starting with 3, reachable from any telephone in the world. In this case you will have S$2.95 free usage.
