Connect Symbian Phone

To connect Symbian phone to Aglow.com.sg you have to setup SIP Settings and Internet Telphony settings. Then register to Aglow.com.sg server through desired connection (preferred is WiFi network, because GPRS connection is too slow).

The best way to properly configure your phone is to follow these steps:

On Nokia E-series

1. Go to Tools > Settings > Connection > SIP Settings > hit Options and choose Add new > Use default profile.

In Profile name enter desired name for your SIP profile, in this tutorial we will use name "Aglow".
In Service profile choose IETF.
In Default access point choose your connection.
In Public user name enter sip: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it (note: type the username you registered with your service provider and IP address or domain name of your provider). In this tutorial we will use "sip: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ", where 31061061 is username and sip.aglow.sg is Aglow.com.sg server IP address.
In Use compression select NO.
In Registration select Always ON you may choose other later.
In Use security select No.

2. Continue. Go to fill "Registrar server". e61

In "Registrar server address" enter "sip:YourProviderIpOrDomain". In this tutorial we will use "sip:sip.aglow.sg" as registrar server IP address.
In Realm enter "sip.aglow.sg".
In User name enter "YourUserName". In this tutorial we will use "31061061".
In Password enter the password for your account.
In Transport type choose UDP.
In Port should be 5060 (default value).

3. Next. Now in "Proxy server" (similar to Registrar).

In Proxy server address enter "sip:YourProviderIpOrDomain". In this tutorial we're using "sip:sip.aglow.sg".
In Realm enter "aglow.sg".
In User name enter "YourUserName". In this tutorial we will use "31061061".
In Password enter the password for your account.
In Allow loose routing select Yes.
In Transport type choose UDP.
In Port should be 5060 (default value).

4. Now you're almost done. Quit and go to: Tools > Settings > Connection > Internet tel. settings > hit Options and choose New profile.

In Name enter Aglow.
In SIP profiles choose "Aglow".

5. On the very right of your status bar on the phone you should see phone icon with earth appearing.

For advanced users

Setup parameters as follows:

1. Set SIP Profile: use IETF, enter public username "sip: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ", NO compression, NO security.

In Registrar server set address to "sip:sip.aglow.sg", default Realm is "aglow.com.sg", username, password, UDP transport and default port 5060.
In Proxy server enter the same values as in Registrar and set Allow loosing routing to Yes.

2. Create new profile in Tools > Settings > Connection > Internet tel. settings, choose some name and choose created before SIP profile.
