Global DID (Direct Inward Dialing) is an Internet delivered voice service that provides businesses with a virtual presence in any country.

To put it very simply, Global DID allows companies to have a local presence in  any foreign key cities outside their country of origin.

Global DID Service provides a flexible and cost-effective solution for calling card companies, voice messaging/fax service providers, and businesses that require local phone numbers in several calling areas in a specific country. This service also provides a solution for bulk phone numbers in a specific calling area.

With over 1,000 rate centers in more than 60 countries to choose from, Global DID Service delivers these features:

Minimum commitment period for any number is 1 month, and the service is prepaid and setup/monthly charges can vary per country. Per minute charges are calculated based on where the call is going, using our competitive per minute local and IDD charges.

A Working Example

Your business is located in Singapore and your key customers are located in Indonesia, Malaysia and China.

Aglow will provide you with Global DID numbers, local to their respective areas, that rings at your business phone line in Singapore.

Now clients can reach you cost effectively from their local numbers, no matter where you are in the world. On the other hand, you are enjoying a virtual business presence without having to incur high overhead expenses.

Additionally you can use this when you are travelling from your home-country anywhere else (a service previously called Follow-Me).

With only this dedicated Global DID (follow-me) number, you can forward all calls to you to one or more pre-defined (international) number(s), so that you can receive phone calls using a local phone (fixed line or mobile) from the country you are currently in.

You may also use this Global DID number as a business line if you be constantly on the go, and stay contactable to your colleagues and business associates, even in multiple locations.

Things to note when using Follow-Me

  • It is best to tell your friends/associates to call the Global DID number directly so that you don't pay local charges from your mobile phone to this follow-me number.
  • The number you get for Global DID is NOT related to the International Callback number.
  • Cellular Callback (local callback) does NOT always work when you are dialing in from your overseas phone. Only SMS and Web callback works as well as International callback (which you would need to activate online as well). You may try it first however, your mileage may vary.
